Driving customer action is at the core of Versatile’s mission and our Construction Data Analysts (CDA) are the engine. Data Storytelling is the ability to convey data to an audience not just in raw numbers or visuals, but as an easily-digestible narrative. We ensure our customers do not drink from the fire hose. Rather, we provide targeted insights that enable our customers to make data-driven decisions.

What you will be doing:
  • Collect and analyze data to inform construction project management for structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, and precast concrete projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, including conception, planning, and execution stages
  • Use Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to plan construction projects
  • Identify factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to collect data and effectively manage company data using Python, Tableau, PowerBI, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures; create data insights out of collected data based on customer context
  • Establish systems to collect and organize customer data using technologies such as PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Solicit customer feedback from engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to optimize reports to suit customers’ needs
  • Use Python, PowerBI, and Tableau to develop clear customer data visualizations to inform company decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience to include
  • Data analytics using Python and SQL
  • Data visualization using Tableau or PowerBI
  • Commercial construction experience in either a project management or field superintendent role
  • Direct project experience with one or more major commercial construction methods: structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, and precast concrete
  • Experience facing customers as part of core job function, such as sales or customer success.
