Senior Data Scientist (Full-Stack)

About the job:

As a Senior Data Scientist (Full Stack), you will be responsible for developing end-to-end data solutions, from data collection and preprocessing through model development and deployment, to production monitoring and gradual improvement. 

You’ll be joining our Data and Research team, where you will work with Data Engineering, Data Science and Data Analytics to extend our product offering with AI driven actionable and insightful user experience. 

You will also work closely with our product managers as well as our backend and full-stack engineers to understand business requirements and then to define, implement, deploy and monitor your solutions.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both data science as well as software engineering, with a solid familiarity of data platforms and cloud computing.

What you will be doing:
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable code for data processing, analysis, and modeling, as well as continuously monitor and improve your solutions on production.
  • Work closely with different stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. 
  • Analyze existing data and find business opportunities for new initiatives that enhance our product offering and better cater the needs of our users.
  • Utilize cloud computing and data platforms (such as Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP) to develop and deploy scalable data solutions.
  • Optimize and tune data pipelines, algorithms, and models for performance and scalability and quality.
  • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cloud computing technologies

Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and software engineering.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in programming in Python with a focus on writing clean, scalable, and robust code. Knowledgeable in SQL and database systems
  • Experience with cloud computing and data platforms such as Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda. Familiarity with evented architecture and Kafka is a plus.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and with orchestration tools.
  • An academic degree in a quantitative field such as Computer science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering, or parallel work experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Previous work experience as an Algorithm Engineer, Backend Engineer or Data Analyst – a plus.
  • Experience with DevOps/MLOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI – a plus.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or participation in relevant communities –  a plus.
Data & Research Team Lead (Hands-On)

About the job:

As a hands-on team lead you will be leading 5-6 people and act as the frontline manager for one of our core engineering teams.
You will be a member of our R&D leadership forum and report directly to our VP of R&D.

Most of your time will go towards people management, technical leadership, cross-functional alignment and communication, and enhancing our culture of excellence, while you will still spend some of your time making hands-on individual contribution.

You will constantly balance between your passions for leading people and facilitating their personal growth, your impact-driven mindset and your desire to ship a product that makes a real difference and caters the needs of our users and our business, and your passion for spreading out your technical proficy.

 

What you will be doing:
  • Up to 30% of your time will go towards hands-on individual contribution in the form of feature planning, architecture and design, and code contribution to our data platform and pipelines.
  • On the people management side – you will be leading 5-6 engineers and data-analysts; You’ll mentor members of your team, and work with them to build their personal and professional work path.
  • You will directly lead data engineers, BI engineers and data analysts, for whom you will demonstrate strong technical leadership based on hands-on experience and proficiency; You will also manage Data Scientists for whom you will demonstrate your ability to challenge their assumptions and provide a platform for technical discussions in collaboration with our senior DS; Last, you will be translating Data-Science needs to requirements from the data platform.
  • On the technical leadership side – you will be directing the work of others; Reviewing architecture, design and code; Working with your team to build, groom and advance a technical backlog; Maintain a balance between product progress and technical excellence; And act as an escalation point for making technical decisions.
  • On the cross-function side – you will be working closely with our product managers as an empowered unit aimed at catering the needs of our users and progressing our business KPIs; You will also work closely with other team leads to improve alignment and visibility and make sure we ship often and ship early. 
  • You will also work closely with all members of the extended team – engineers (devs and QA), product, UX, program managers, operations, management etc. to make sure we continuously learn and improve, and drive our product and engineering organization to excellence.  
  • Your team’s Definition of Done will always be driven by having their work lie in the hands of users and impacting the goals of the company.
Requirements:
  • Upwards of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence or Data Analysis, of which at least 3 years of experience are in Data Engineering. 
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in leading and mentoring developers and engineers as a Tech-Lead, Architect, or, preferably, a Team-Lead. The ideal candidate will have already led a team of 3 people or more.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with one of the major commercial data platforms/data lakes (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
    The ideal candidate has led the implementation and adoption of a platform in an existing R&D department.
  • Experience with catering heavily algorithmic and ML initiatives, either through direct leadership of teams that have built and deployed models to production environments, or through closely servicing such teams.
  • A proven track record of managing complex data projects through the full project lifecycle.
  • Experienced with participating in architecture discussion forums, where questions of domain ownership are discussed, and solutions are set out to use data platforms, micro-services, or cloud-native solutions on a per-need basis. Experience with AWS is preferred.
  • Experienced with highly evented architectures, previous experience with Kafka is a plus.
  • A strong product and business driven mentality and substantial experience in acting as the technical counterpart in an empowered team.

Senior UX Researcher

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and preferences of construction workers, supervisors, and other stakeholders in the high-tech construction environment.
  • Design and execute user studies, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights that inform the development and enhancement of our digital tools and solutions.

  •  3-10 years of experience in Product research, with a strong track record of conducting research in high-tech or industrial settings.

  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, focusing on usability testing, ethnographic studies, and surveys.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present research findings in a clear and compelling manner.

What you will be doing:
  • Join our R&D team, help lead our Data First product strategy.
  • Work together with the Product Management team to discover ways for us to help our customers using a complex set of data coming from the construction site, involving images, GPS location of construction artifacts and more.
  • Work with the development and data engineering teams in order to enable data-based solutions.

Requirements:

Software Engineer – IoT and Signal
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel

What you will be doing:
  • Develop and maintain Python code controlling the behavior of IoT devices installed on construction cranes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain full-stack solutions using TypeScript, Node, and React.
  • Build tools for fleet management, device control, version rollout, monitoring device health and status etc.
  • Collaborate with other teams to continuously improve event driven data flows from IoT devices, to the cloud, to our app stack, to user facing features.

Requirements:
