What you will be doing:

This is an opportunity to become a part of something big and position yourself early on as a company’s future leader, working hand in hand with our clients to transform an industry. You will be responsible for onboarding Versatile’s clients and ensuring deployment, adoption, and client success. You will focus on working with clients to deploy our Project Life Cycle approach, which engages our clients in a process that delivers initial and ongoing project value and ensures that we are well-positioned for expansion opportunities.

Minimum qualifications / other expectations:

  • BSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar degree
  • 3 + years in the construction industry working for a leading general contractor with experience on projects over $50M
  • Experience with construction management software (e.g., ACC or Procore)
  • Located near a major airport hub and willing to travel up to 60%
  • Propensity to utilize data and analytics to gauge client commitment & usage
  • Focus on client success with the capacity to intervene and adjust when necessary
  • High performer, personable, with strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Versatile Project Life Cycle – engaging with the client from project initiation through deployment and beyond, ensuring clients realize value
  • Coordinate deployments with the Account Manager in your named accounts, working as a team to best support client adoption and engagement
  • Act as a Versatile advocate and evangelist at all times and in all situations
  • Utilize user engagement metrics and customer feedback to drive annual/quarterly customer business reviews for assigned accounts
  • Visit client job sites during the project life cycle, driving initial client engagement and ongoing adoption
  • Support the land and expand motion driven by the Account Manager
  • Document and share product feedback from your clients
  • Build and maintain partner relationships with your clients
  • Participating in structured product pre-release testing
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in product & customer applications
  • Manage and monitor Versatile devices, batteries, and components for the territory
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry news and educate yourself on industry processes
  • Represent Versatile at industry events

Data & Research Manager (Hands-On)
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel

About the job:

As a hands-on Manager, you will lead 5-6 people and act as the frontline manager for one of our core engineering teams.
You will be a member of our R&D leadership forum and report directly to our VP of R&D.

Most of your time will go towards people management, technical leadership, cross-functional alignment and communication, and enhancing our culture of excellence. At the same time, you will still spend some of your time making hands-on individual contributions.

You will constantly balance between your passions for leading people and facilitating their personal growth, your impact-driven mindset, and your desire to ship a product that makes a real difference and caters to the needs of our users and our business, and your passion for spreading out your technical proficiency.

 

What you will be doing:
  • Up to 30% of your time will go towards hands-on individual contribution in the form of feature planning, architecture and design, and code contribution to our data platform and pipelines.
  • On the people management side – you will lead 5-6 engineers and data analysts. You’ll mentor and work with your team members to build their personal and professional work paths.
  • You will directly lead data engineers, BI engineers, and data analysts, for whom you will demonstrate strong technical leadership based on hands-on experience and proficiency. You will also manage Data Scientists for whom you will demonstrate your ability to challenge their assumptions and provide a platform for technical discussions in collaboration with our senior DS. Lastly, you will translate data science needs into data platform requirements.
  • On the technical leadership side – you will be directing the work of others and reviewing architecture, design, and code. Working with your team to build, groom, and advance a technical backlog; Maintaining a balance between product progress and technical excellence; and acting as an escalation point for making technical decisions.
  • On the cross-function side – you will be working closely with our product managers as an empowered unit to cater to our users’ needs and progress our business KPIs. You will also work closely with other team leads to improve alignment and visibility and ensure we ship often and early. 
  • You will also work closely with all extended team members – engineers (devs and QA), product, UX, program managers, operations, management, etc.- to ensure we continuously learn, improve, and drive our product and engineering organization to excellence.  
  • Your team’s Definition of Done will always be driven by having their work lie in the hands of users and impacting the company’s goals.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data analysis, of which at least 3 years of experience are in data engineering. 
  • At least 2 years of proven experience leading and mentoring developers and engineers as a Tech-Lead, Architect, or, preferably, a Team-Lead. The ideal candidate will have already led a team of 3 people or more.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with one of the significant commercial data platforms/data lakes (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
    The ideal candidate has led the implementation and adoption of a platform in an existing R&D department.
  • Experience catering heavily to algorithmic and ML initiatives through direct leadership of teams that have built and deployed models to production environments or through closely servicing such teams.
  • A proven track record of managing complex data projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Experienced with participating in architecture discussion forums, where questions of domain ownership are discussed, and solutions are set out to use data platforms, micro-services, or cloud-native solutions per-need basis. Experience with AWS is preferred.
  • Experienced with highly evented architectures, previous experience with Kafka is a plus.
  • A strong product and business-driven mentality and substantial experience in acting as the technical counterpart in an empowered team. 
  • An academic degree in quantitative fields such as Computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, engineering, or parallel work experience.

 

Full-Stack Team Lead (Hands-On)

  • At least 2 years of experience with building Node.js applications in TypeScript.
  • Previous experience with React is a plus.
  • Experience in planning and implementing scalable microservices architectures over cloud platforms, AWS is preferred.
  • Experience in crafting, creating, and utilizing RESTful APIs.
  • Experienced with planning and maintaining features with complex data persistence needs using relational DBs.
  • Experienced with highly event-driven architectures, previous experience with Kafka is a plus.
  • A strong product mindset and substantial experience in acting as the technical counterpart in an empowered team.

Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is thirsty for knowledge and is passionate about I.O.T / cloud services integration. You will take a key part in shaping the DevOps culture processes and own the development and production environments and their operating tools.

  • Excellent development abilities in at least one scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python, JS, etc).
  • Development experience in NodeJS and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases.
  • Experience with implementing CI/CD and automation in a complex environment.
  • Technical skills and willingness to review, verify, troubleshoot, fix, and validate code developed by other departments.
